Privacy Policy

Who we are

ShuttlePro is a badminton league and tournament management service operated from India at www.shuttlepro.in. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and who it is shared with.

What we collect

• Account details — your email address, name, and password (stored only as a hash by our authentication provider, never in readable form).
• Profile details you choose to add — contact number, profile photo, home city, and your date of birth and gender.
• Competition data — the teams, leagues and tournaments you join, match scores, and the ratings and standings calculated from them.
• Payment records — your subscription status and the identifiers issued by our payment processor. We never see or store your card details.
• Activity records — notifications sent to you, and an audit log of significant administrative actions, kept for accountability.
• Sign-up location — when you create an account we record the approximate location (city and country) and IP address of that request, derived at our hosting edge. It is visible only to platform administrators and is used to understand where our members sign up from and to help detect abuse.
• Push notification registrations — if you turn on notifications for a device, your browser gives us an address for that device and the keys needed to encrypt messages to it. It identifies the browser, not you personally, and it is only ever used to deliver ShuttlePro notifications. Turning notifications off for a device deletes it, as does the browser itself if you clear site data.

Why date of birth and gender are required

Tournament events are organised by age group and by discipline (men's, women's and mixed), following standard badminton rules. Your date of birth and gender decide which events you are eligible for, so they are required before you can enter one. Once you hold a live entry these become locked to you and can only be corrected by an administrator — otherwise they could be edited to enter an age group you do not belong to.

Who can see what

Your name, photo and competition results are visible to other participants in the leagues and tournaments you join, and appear on standings and match pages. Your home city is private — it is used as your own search filter, and is shared with a team captain only on a join request you chose to send. Your email address and contact number are never listed publicly.

Services we rely on

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. We do pass it to the providers that run the service:

• Supabase — accounts, database and image storage.
• Vercel — hosting and request logs.
• Razorpay — subscription payments. Card details go directly to Razorpay.
• Google — only if you choose to sign in with a Google account.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection on sign-in.
• Resend — delivery of administrative email alerts to our operators.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Account and profile data is kept while your account exists. Match results, standings and audit records are kept as part of the permanent competition record even after an account is closed, because removing them would corrupt results other players rely on.

Your choices

You can edit or clear most profile fields yourself from your account page, including your photo and home city. To request a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account, write to us at support@shuttlepro.in. We will respond within a reasonable period.

Children

Junior events mean some participants are minors. Accounts for players under 18 should be created and managed by a parent or guardian, who is responsible for the information provided.
